When you use Spark, the following information is stored as part of your account:
All data is stored securely in an encrypted database. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using bcrypt before storage.
Spark uses browser localStorage to store your authentication token (JWT) so you stay logged in across page refreshes. This token expires after 7 days. No cookies are used for tracking or advertising purposes.
Profile details (name, age, gender, bio, photo) are visible to other registered users. Messages are visible only to the sender and recipient. Please use the app respectfully and avoid sharing sensitive personal information.
You can request account deletion by contacting the administrator through the Admin panel. When an account is removed, all associated data is permanently deleted from the database.
The contact form on the Profile page uses Formspree to relay messages. Formspree's own privacy policy applies to those submissions. No other third-party services have access to your information.
Security measures include password hashing (bcrypt), JWT authentication tokens, encrypted database storage, and admin-only access to sensitive endpoints.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
If you have questions, reach out via the contact form on the Profile page or email the administrator.
